What You Told Us

Every so often we ask our patients to fill in a Patient Experience Survey. It takes a few minutes, it is anonymous, and it is one of the few ways a practice finds out what things are actually like from the other side of the desk.

We ran our most recent survey between May and July 2026. Thank you to everyone who took the time. Here is what the results showed.

What the survey found

Communication with clinicians — 85.7% felt their doctors communicated clearly and respectfully.

Interpersonal skills — 89.5% reported feeling listened to, respected and treated with kindness.

Privacy and confidentiality — 86.8% were confident their privacy and personal information is protected.

Reception experience — 86% rated their experience with reception staff positively.

Information provided — 83.6% felt they received clear explanations and appropriate health information.

Overall experience — 80.4% rated their overall experience positively.

The parts we need to work on

A survey that only tells you what you are doing well is not much use. The feedback also identified several things patients would like to see improved, and these are the ones we are acting on.

Waiting times. We are reviewing appointment scheduling and workflow to reduce the time patients spend waiting.

Appointment availability. We are working to improve access to appointments where we can.

Continuity of care. Seeing the same GP over time makes for better care, and we will be encouraging patients to book with their preferred doctor where possible.

The waiting room. We are reviewing patient comfort and the waiting room environment.

Awareness of our services. A number of patients were not aware of the full range of services available through the practice. That one is on us to communicate better, and it is something this news page will help with.

Telehealth. We are looking at where expanded telehealth options would be useful.

What happens next

Patient feedback is part of how the practice reviews itself, not a one-off exercise. Alongside the specific items above, we will continue to:

  • Review appointment systems to improve access

  • Continue staff education and professional development

  • Improve how we communicate what the practice offers

  • Run the survey again, so we can see whether these changes have worked

That last point matters most. The measure of a survey is not the result, it is whether the next one is better.

Thank you

We appreciate everyone who filled it in, including those who told us the things that were harder to hear. It is more useful than the compliments.

If you have feedback at any time and do not want to wait for the next survey, you are welcome to raise it with our reception team.
