Results & Communication Policy

Results

Patients are advised to contact the surgery after 3 days to discuss results and follow up. Reception staff will advise you whether follow up or an appointment is required and can transfer your call to the Practice Nurse if required. Any concerns you may have will be relayed to the doctor, and followed up on if required. Patients with abnormal results will be contacted by either their GP or the Practice Nurse.

It is our policy that non medical queries will be taken by reception staff and medical queries be triaged by practice nurses. Messages will then be followed up appropriately, with a return call from the doctor, nurse or receptionist.
